Occupational Therapy (OT) CEU’s are part of the necessary requirements to maintain one’s license. In addition, a clinician may seek out paid or free continuing education classes (CEU) to advance his or her knowledge and skill set.
The American Occupational Therapy Association’s (AOTA’s) Approved Provider Program (APP) assists occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) and state licensing boards to ensure professional development activities reflect evidence-informed, occupation-centered practice.
Listed below are FREE AOTA-approved CEU’s from Saebo as of November 16th, 2022. The courses range from electrical stimulation to stroke recovery. To learn more about the CEU courses listed, feel free to click on the link to learn more or visit www.saeboacademy.com.
This AOTA Approved 5-hour OT free CEU course includes presentations, video lessons, and handouts and is Part 1 of the 2-part course Improving Upper Extremity Motor Recovery Following Neurological Injury. Upon completion of both parts of this course, you will be trained to use Saebo’s Functional Dynamic Orthoses on patients that have had a neurological injury.
This 1.25 contact hour OT free CEU continuing education course provides a general overview of common motor-based interventions utilized in neurorehabilitation. Various techniques will be integrated into a mixed-method plan of care to restore functional use of the affected upper extremity.
The first portion of this OT free CEU course is a presentation covering two main topics: a highlight on the current atmosphere for upper extremity stroke rehabilitation and five key ways research tells us to improve motor recovery. Statistical data, neuro-specific education, evidence-based research and applicable motor recovery treatment options will be provided. In the second portion of the course, Saebo and DIH will present a variety of products from their company’s portfolios showing useful low-tech and high-tech rehabilitation solutions for the different stages of stroke recovery.
Dr. Steven L. Wolf, Ph.D., PT, FAPTA, FASNR, best known for his involvement in the development of constraint-induced movement therapy (CIMT), and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for Saebo, brings to you the knowledge of how to foster patient compliance while at home. OT free CEU.
This 1.5 contact hour self-study OT free CEU course will introduce you to the basic principles of electrical stimulation along with the physiological effects and clinical applications. Indications, contraindications, types of current, waveforms, and parameter descriptions will also be discussed.
This OT free CEU course will introduce you to the basic principles of the SaeboGlove, evidence-based research concerning the purpose and use of dynamic orthotics for neurological recovery, and reasons to use finger extension assist devices for upper extremity recovery.
This 30-minute OT free CEU continuing education course will introduce you to the basic principles of the SaeboStretch, evidence-based research concerning the purpose and use of dynamic splints for neurological recovery, and reasons to avoid static splinting for the upper extremity with spasticity.
